Welcome, Gonçalo Biltes!

Welcome, Gonçalo Biltes!

Gonçalo Biltes started his career at Cevotec as a working student in our application development team while pursuing his master’s degree in aerospace engineering at the Technical University of Munich. After more than two years of making valuable contributions to Cevotec´s fiber patch placement technology, he moved into the position of Composite Project Engineer. Gonçalo investigated in his Master´s thesis a new approach to gripper technology that uses actively controlled elements instead of passive deformation to improve the placement of patches on large curvatures.

“I really enjoy my time since, since I was a working student at the Cevotec team. The work culture and the team environment are great. I also like the fact that there are exciting projects in a new composite technology,” says Gonçalo. His tasks as Composite Project Engineer include the design of laminate parts and the development of customer applications as well as the application of FPP production technology on our SAMBA systems in the cevoLab.

Gonçalo is not only a Portuguese volleyball champion, but also a keen sports enthusiast who frequently plays basketball and soccer.

We are delighted to welcome Gonçalo on board in his new position and we are looking forward to setting further milestones in composites with him.
